LPO© Test

 to measure ethical maturity level

L - Liability

P - Priority

O - Obligation

Ethics is a result of social development and as such can be developed. By regulating cooperation, moral behavior and decisions can be controlled, risks can be reduced.

The three levels of the development are

  1. External regulation-following of the rules is supervised by others
  2. Internal regulation - Ethical behavior and decisions are governed by individual values and principles
  3. Relative regulation - Evaluation of common and individual benefits and losses, finding common solutions, or strict application of the rules.

The LPO decision making tree

The test works similarly to a breathalyzer;

there are countries where there is zero tolerance and there are others with different range limits.

The outcome of the test can be;

  • mature,
  • strong ethics and value system,
  • a risk which can be controlled, and finally the
  • high risk with no possibility to control.

Our Expert System uses a decision-making tree, each branch of which represents an alternative for the decision and the measures to take.

Organizations differ greatly in terms of written and unwritten norms.

There is a great difference in people`s relation to these norms as well as in consistency of their attitude towards norms and rules.

The psychology is probably just left the question of ethical behavior to the philosophy, because it is not absolute;

its content is relative, and it is forming with the development of the personality.

Knowledge of ethical rules does not mean they are also learned, and even more does not mean behaving according to the rules and norms.

The pace and content of learning, the quality of moral behavior in general are influenced by a wider social environment.

Personality is forming in the continuous interaction of social environment and individual's needs and intents.

LPO test never stands alone.

In some cases it is combined with the workprobes.online tasks, which identify the individual working style and the level of autonomy.

The other combination often used is the control attitude test, the results of which help to minimize the risks.

The combined results indicate the degree of adaptability of consciousness and balance, predictability of behavior.

The test results identify the stage of personal ethical development:

there is a need for constant supervision, occasional control, or of a threat of punishment in order to comply with the rules, follows the rules and takes responsibility for if he/she makes a mistake having strong moral norms he/she shapes the community.

The test was validated on 2,200 people, successfully identifying people involved in corruption, rule violation.

The LPO test is a response to practical needs:
employees are handling material value, information, situations that require honesty, trustworthiness even in unclear, uncertain situations.

In many cases difficult to draw the limits of ethical behavior.

In most cases, the cause of the problem is not that someone is openly dishonest, immoral, and is obviously breaking the rules.
In practice, in most cases, the problem is almost negligible:
bigger or smaller mistakes, misbehavior, some small privileges acquired.

The LPO test is applicable online.
